This class is for children ages 3-10 and their parents who are awaiting a new baby. We welcome 2 year old siblings but advise parents to consider their maturity and understanding of the upcoming birth. This class familiarizes children with the hospital and prepares them for your absence. Included is a tour of the postpartum area, a video focusing on a child's experiences with the birth of a sibling, dress-up time with a mask and cap and instruction on holding and diapering a baby by using a doll. Each child should bring a doll or stuffed animal. Space is limited, so register early. Call the Parent Education dept (260) 435-7070 to register by phone for class. Class code is S-08.
